Setting The Scene

Brimfield Antique Fair is a scene to be seen.
Venders pitch in cluster white canvas to pitch and hawk trash, treasure and everything in between.

If the antique scene is too hot, cool off in the serenity of the natural scenery. Good Twin and Bad Twin rented this watery getaway in Holland Mass. The cabin is now renting for the September Brimfield dates. Tell John we sent you. Best vacation house fridge ever, stocked with butter, pancake syrup, and Frank's Red Hot! The hospitality of this lake community is beyond compare.

Good Twin Bad Twin availed this lush theater for our Brimfield photo shoot.
Slide into beautiful Lake Hamilton. Just minutes away from Brimfield. Don't be tempted to take the highway, take the back roads. Look for Holland Pizza and ask Mike The Greek for a roast beef sandwich, made in house, and don't forget to ask for his homemade pepper oil.

My first customer appreciation photo

I just love Etsy and all of the lovely buyers and sellers I have met there! Even though I have sold over 450 items (!!!), I haven't seen any pictures yet of my customers wearing the clothes or accessories they've bought from my shop.

Welp, I am so happy to share my first ever customer appreciation photo from the lovely Kristi McMurry of Jackson, TN. She's wearing my "Easy Like Sunday Morning" chambray boyfriend shirt. Doesn't she look so casual cool?

Kristi has her own Etsy shop called Deer Sweet Images, where she sells her bright and whimsical photos and prints. Here's a few of my favorites from her shop:

Thanks, Kristi, for shopping at Mouse Trap Vintage and for being such a sweet customer!

(detail of Homestead by Gregory of Beauchamping on Etsy)

I am so happy that selling vintage on Etsy and this blog have bonded Maggie and I closer together. And I am ecstatic that my mommy is selling on Etsy now, too!

My mommy is Cindy Hunt, otherwise known as Record Lady or CinRock. She is the most wonderful, generous, talented, loving and beautiful woman on the planet and she loves music almost as much as she loves her four children. Cindy spends her days selling records and CDs in Coatesville, PA at her shop Chester County Music Co. Thanks to my love, Brian Brown (my mommy calls him by his full name, haha!), you can find her records on her website and Etsy now, too! She's already made her first sale! Hooray!

There's about 5o records in here Etsy shop now, but there's about 10,000 to come! So, stop by soon and come back often!

I decided last night as I was sorting items for my porch sale in West Philly tomorrow that I would have a Virtual Porch Sale in my Etsy shop!

29 items in my shop are 50% off today only (through Midnight tonight)! If they don't sell in the shop, then I will be bringing them to the porch sale tomorrow. Either convo me to adjust the price before you buy or I will refund the difference via Paypal.

Here's some of my favorite sale items. Get 'em before they're gone ...

This past weekend, Brian and I joined Maggie and her boyfriend John in Mass for the highly-anticipated Brimfield Antiques Show (!!!). Barely out of Philly, Brian and I were rear-ended and our car (we now know) was totaled. But, we didn't let that spoil our fun. We got us a rental and off we went ...

The four of us stayed in an adorable little cabin on the Holland Reservoir just about 5 miles from Brimfield. Gorgeous water, friendly neighbors, star-filled skies. We swam and BBQed, but most importantly we SHOPPED the fleas!

I'll be posting some of my finds soon, but first I wanted to share some pictures I took with my lovely model Maggie of some beautiful pieces I've been holding onto for the shop. The setting was perfect - the wood pile and the ax, the swampy little pond and the late afternoon sunshine trickling through the trees. Consider this my Summer 2010 Collection ... Coming soon!

Maggie and I also had our first ever twin photo shoot in our favorite red summer dresses. We were channeling the little girls from our blog banner photo, can't you tell?

On Maggie:
Dress - TJ Max
Sandals - Anthropologie

On Sarah:
Dress - Ebay France
Belt - Thrifted
Socks - J. Crew
Oxfords - Dear Golden
Wood Bead Necklace - BRIMFIELD!!!

More Brimfield finds from both twins soon!
